THE Bread & Butter Theatre Company's Van Dunk Brothers have been confirmed as one of the acts for this year's Crewe Carnival on Saturday, August 25.

This award-winning theatre company is regarded for producing innovative, groundbreaking work.

They will bring a case full of trunks, swimming caps, goggles, armbands and verruca cream, ready to delight crowds with their award-winning dry land synchronised swimming display.

* Crewe Carnival is holding a 10-kilometre Charity Fun Run on Sunday, August 26, at Queen's Park and the King George Playing Fields.

It will use a 2.5-kilometre course in the beautiful surroundings of the park, making it one of the most spectator-friendly courses in the country.

Entrants can choose between running the whole 10km themselves or doing a relay with three friends and running 2.5km each. Solo runners and walkers can also opt to do a shorter distance of 2.5km, 5km or 7.5km.

Proceeds from all entries will go to the Macmillan Cancer Unit Appeal at Leighton Hospital and organisers want to encourage as many runners to raise money through friends and family.
