A MAN had a £600 watch stolen during a terrifying robbery in a Chester subway.
The 24-year-old local man was pounced on by two muggers in the Fountains Roundabout subway near the top of Upper Northgate Street.
As he entered the subway from the city centre between 3am and 3.30am last Saturday, two males passed him in the opposite direction.
One then jumped on to his back while the other searched him, demanding he handed over property and threatening violence. He then removed a Tag Heur analogue watch from the victim's wrist.
Both assailants fled into Upper Northgate Street.
The first robber is described as white, mid 20s, 5ft 11, and medium build. He had a blond skinhead, spoke with a local accent and wore a grey hooded top, blue tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.
His accomplice was said to be in his late teens, 5ft 8ins and medium build. He had short black hair, spoke with a local accent and wore blue jeans, a dark blue or black sweatshirt and white trainers.
The victim was wearing a black long-sleeved roundneck jumper with grey and white horizontal stripes around the midriff, blue jeans and black shoes.
