Steve Ingram has been appointed as Ukip Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for the City of Chester for the General Election expected in May 2015.
The 49-year-old company director is married, with three children and was previously his party’s Blacon spokesman.
Ukip polled 25% in this May’s local elections and is expected to do well in the European elections, to be held on May 22 next year.
Mr Ingram said: “Chester is one of Ukip’s target seats in the north west and I am encouraged by the support I am receiving when canvassing around the city, assisted by my very active local party branch.”
