NESTON community nursery is appealing to businesses in the borough for their support during a special Mothers Day event.

The nursery wanted to raise money and create awareness of The Eve Appeal (TEA), which funds research into the early detection, prevention and treatment of ovarian cancer, so they have organised a tea party.

They're hoping beauticians, hair dressers, holistic therapists and local supermarkets will lend a helping hand to make the event on Tuesday, March 20 a special one for mums.

Nursery worker Jayde Cole said: 'We usually hold a Mothers Day tea party.

'We aim to provide a feel good evening, where local mums can come along and let their hair down.'

'They can make friends and have adult conversation all whilst helping raise awareness for The Eve Appeal.'
