AN ENTRANCE porch was proposed at the front of a barn conversion.

Applicant Daniel Pearson told planners he was seeking approval for the feature at 1 Oakmere Barns, Farm Road, Oakmere.

The green belt homes were created following the restoration and conversion of derelict barn buildings according to a report.

Planning officers described the open-sided porch as ‘modest’. It would have a traditional appearance and would use matching materials.

Although no other dwellings in the conversion had porches added, they felt it would not harm the character of the property or its setting.

Permission was granted.
