ROAD repairs costing £140,000 could be carried out in Upton.

They appear in a list of schemes being considered for the next three years by Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Work to resurface and reconstruct footways on Caughall Road, Upton, would cost almost £60,000.

A scheme has been drawn up to resurface and reconstruct the footways, with flags being replaced by a flexible surface, between the A41 and Greenfields.

The work, costing £57,900, would deal with the uneven surfaces.

The council says work costing £43,000 is needed at Weston Grove between Wealstone Lane and Cross Green to reconstruct the carriageway where the edges have failed and there are depressions, cracks and ruts.

A scheme costing £34,500 has been drawn up to renew the footway on both sides of Oakfield Drive between Caughall Road and Flag Lane North. Engineers say the footway is perished and has ruts.

The proposal follows a site inspection.

The highway authority says a 30m length of Weston Grove from the A41 requires repairs costing £4,800 to deal with pot holes, cracks, ruts and a failure of the road.
