SKI-LOVING Queen’s School pupils took to the slopes of Vermont on a US school trip.

Students from years 8 to 12 were based in Stowe, Vermont, where they explored more than 100 trails covering nearly 40 miles. From beginner to expert, all could ski on a variety of pistes and the most adventurous tried moguls, jumps and the awesome half pipe.

Dominated by the spectacular Mount Mansfield, the group enjoyed fresh powder snow and glorious sunshine.

Charlotte Price, winner of this year’s skiing cup, said: “The people of Stowe were really welcoming and the skiing was amazing. I would recommend this trip to anyone.” The adventure concluded with a visit to Boston.
