Cheshire police are appealing for witnesses following a serious two-vehicle crash on the A556 near Northwich on Friday (November 14).
The collision, which involved a black Audi Saloon and a red IVECO rigid light goods vehicle (LGV), occurred on the A556 Chester Road, between the junctions of Ascol Drive and Linnards Lane, at around 1.37pm.
The driver of the Audi, a 42-year-old man from the Manchester area who was driving towards Manchester on the eastbound carriageway at the time of the collision, had to be cut free from his vehicle and transported by air ambulance to North Staffordshire Hospital.
His condition is described as critical but stable.
The LGV driver had been travelling westbound towards Northwich.
