CHANGES were agreed involving a dog therapy business.
The application arose at Beachin Cottage, Beachin Lane, Coddington.
Applicant Mr Phillip Outwaite told planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council he was seeking approval for a log cabin at the dog therapy pool to provide administrative accommodation in connection with the business.
He also sought to lift a condition to allow the business to be separated from the detached, two-storey house.
For Mr Outwaite, Saighton-based architects McCormick Architecture pointed out the business, dating back to 1998, is served by its own drive and has its own parking.
The condition was imposed as the pool and house are close to each other.
The agents argued, however, the business, which provides ‘a very necessary and important service’ to vets in the area, has co-existed comfortably as a neighbour to the house for the past 12 years.
It has little impact, if any, on the property.
Planning officers accepted the key issues included the effect on residential amenity.
They believed that subject to conditions on hours, no dogs being kept overnight and to appointments only, there would be no unacceptable harm to occupiers of the house.
The application was agreed.
