The wraps have come off Chester ’s newest steak house which launches within days.

Here is a sneak peak of the Miller & Carter Steakhouse which opens on the ground floor of the HQ building on Friday, September 9.

Earlier this year it was revealed Miller & Carter was opening venues in Chester and Warrington in addition to its existing outlet at Cheshire Oaks.

Originally scheduled to open late July, the restaurant will have capacity for more than 150 guests.

Tim Ellis, regional business manager at Miller & Carter, said: “Bringing a new Miller & Carter to Chester is extremely exciting for the brand and the new restaurant will offer the best steaks and service that Miller & Carter is renowned for across the UK.”

The Chester outlet will complement existing eating and drinking facilities at Abode hotel and The Architect and may help HQ function better as a building. It is the latest steak house to open in the city alongside the long-established Upstairs at the Grill, Hickory’s Smokehouse and Blackhouse Grill plus new addition Opera Grill.

Miller & Carter says it serves the finest 30 day aged steak, using both wet and dry ageing techniques, ‘to provide the optimum succulence and flavour’. There are 12 steak cuts to choose from; including a 30oz Longbone Tomahawk, Fillet-on-the-bone, and an award-winning sirloin steak. Each is individually hand cut by in-house butchers before being ‘grilled to perfection’ by specially-trained chefs.

The menu features a number of non-steak cuisine, such as barbecue dishes, burgers and fish, as well as vegetarian options.
