SCHOOLS Minister Nick Gibb MP has opened a new £750,000 learning centre at Christleton High School.
Students were led in blindfolded before they were allowed to see the results of the investment for the first time – a well equipped learning environment.
Mr Gibb was greeted by the school concert band playing Washington Post before the official speeches by headteacher Tony Lamberton, chair of governors Sue Leake and Mr Gibb himself.
Then, accompanied by a fanfare by the concert band, there was the official cutting of the ribbon and the unveiling of a plaque to mark the special occasion.
The minister and invited guests were then able to tour the new facility.
