GREEN fingered villagers proved they were the pick of the crop when they displayed their best produce at the Tarporley village show.
Nearly 60 people took part in the show of 73 classes which ranged from produce to cookery, photography and hobbies.
The open show, which is run by the Tarporley Royal British Legion allotment association, encourages everybody to get involved and organiser Lucy George said the entries were of high quality this year.
Lucy said: “We had a rise in the number of entries from children and young people this year. We always have a high turnout and encourage everybody to get involved next year.”
