Mysterious white powder found in Caldy Valley Nature Park has been revealed to be flour - no doubt to the relief of concerned dog owners.

Chester Police tweeted that they had received reports of the powder on pathways around the Great Boughton nature reserve on Sunday morning (February 7), advising people to keep their dogs on leads.

But the curious substance turned out to be nothing untoward. It had an entirely innocent explanation behind it, having been deposited by an athletics club to mark a course.
