A YEAR of successful fundraising events has helped raise more than £30,000 for a Saltney-based support centre toasting its silver anniversary.
Most recently, a charity bag-pack for the town’s MS Support Centre proved very successful, raising £1,500.
Staff and volunteers from the centre were joined by students from Queen’s Park High School, Handbridge at the tills of the Tesco store in Frodsham Square, Chester, to give shoppers a helping hand. Proceeds are to be used to purchase a balance trainer.
Paul Etherington collected the award and said: “The nomination came from an outside source, so that was a surprise in itself, but to win this award is a great achievement for us.”
