Motorists could once again face delays on the M56 this morning due to the closure of junction 12 for ongoing roadworks.
According to traffic website Inrix, a build up of vehicles is expected on the eastbound carriageway to junction 11 and back on to the westbound to junction 12.
The stretch is closed to allow construction workers to develop the new link between Halton and the M56 .
Yesterday (Tuesday, October 28) a woman was injured after her Ford Ka crashed into the motorway's central reservation between junctions 15 and 14 but her injuries are not believed to be serious.

And it's been exactly one week since drivers faced ' a night of chaos' after a tanker overturned near Hapsford .
Emergency services had to set up a cordon to deal with the incident which left some motorists stranded for up to 12 hours.
The latest work on the M56 is due to finish in mid November.
