A NEW youth club has been launched in Blacon for young people in years 3-6 at primary school.

Staff and volunteers at Catch22 are delivering the youth club from 4-5.30pm every Thursday from the Delta Centre.

Young people have the chance to take part in lots of fun activities including arts and crafts, sports and cooking.

They also have the chance to meet up with friends and get to know other young people from the area.

Young people have the opportunity to help shape their sessions by suggesting ideas for new activities.

Over the past two weeks, the young people attending the youth club have been busy making decorations to put on their Christmas trees at home and are looking forward to seeing what activities will be going on over the next few weeks.

Catch22 has more than 200 years’ experience of providing services that help people in tough situations to turn their lives around.

In Cheshire, Catch22 works with young people and families through an intensive family support service and a prevention and inclusion service.

Gary Saunders, project worker at Catch22, said: “The Blacon-based youth club provides the chance for young people to engage in constructive out of school activity in a safe environment where they can socialise with friends and access support from staff and volunteers.”
