Liverpool FC rising star Jordon Ibe will be on trial at Chester Magistrates Court on October 5 charged with failing to provide identification.

Ibe, 19, of Aughton, Ormskirk, pleaded not guilty to the offence.

It is alleged the LFC and England U21s winger failed to provide information to Cheshire Police towards the ID of the driver of a Range Rover on April 14 2015.

The driver in question is suspected to have been guilty of an offence in Crewe.

Liverpool face city rivals Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Sunday.

Ibe has made five Premier League appearances so far this season and played in the Europa League on Thursday in a 1-1 draw with FC Sion.
