AN EERIE Lego animation by a father and daughter duo involving Russian Roulette was the winner of a short film competition.

Mike Graham, of Handbridge, worked with daughter Jenny, 12, on the movie supported by nine-year-old son Jamie who built the set out of his own Lego.

Mike, a quality manager for Guinness, said they were “pleased and surprised” to win the competition by arts organisation Chester Performs and received five tickets to see ET in Grosvenor Park plus a luxury hamper.

Mike, who had no experience as an animator, joked that “no Lego was harmed” during the making of the three minute movie which took eight hours to film and eight hours to edit.

Chester Performs, organisers of the city’s Screen Deva festival, had invited amateurs and professionals to take part in the contest to make a film in just 48 hours. Nine films were submitted.
