A CHESTER charity will get an early Christmas present this year.

The Crowne Plaza hotel is hosting a spectacular dinner dance and donating £10 per ticket sale to the Chronicle-backed charity Miles of Smiles.

The charity sends local sick, disabled and underprivileged children on a trip of a lifetime to Disneyland Paris.

Dee 106.3 Radio presenter Simon Davies will be DJ for the event on December 16.

Doors open at 7pm and entertainment will be provided by the live tribute band Gimme Abba.

Also included is a sumptuous three course dinner, a prize casino featuring roulette, blackjack and dice and a chance to dress up.

Carol Manning of the Crowne Plaza said: “We wanted to do our bit for this very worthy charity.

“We thought a 70s style evening would appeal as the music is timeless and an optional fancy dress would let people have a bit of fun.

“Prizes will be given to the best fancy dress and great prizes will also be up for grabs on the casino provided by Carl Williams of Casino 17 with a cash prize for stand-up bingo.

Places are available priced £29.95 from The Crowne Plaza on 01244 899988.
