A GENEROUS Christmas tree farmer is already in the festive spirit by helping the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Huw Jones, who sells Christmas trees from the end of Gordon Lane, Backford, was approached by the hospice this week to donate a tree to help them with their forthcoming fundraising efforts at the Coliseum in Ellesmere Port.
Huw said: “As we are almost neighbours I was only too pleased to provide a tree and I will be delivering it for them as well.”
Amanda Le Bretton, from the hospice, said: “I don’t know how we would have managed without Huw’s support and we are hoping our time at the Coliseum will prove a huge success.
“If there are any choirs or bands that would like to provide music and carols to accompany our fundraising activities please do give me call on 01244 851811 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.”
The fundraising will start on December 18 and carry through to December 21.
Those who are visiting the Coliseum are invited to watch, enjoy and join in the carols.
The Hospice provides highly specialised palliative care for people living with advanced diseases from the communities of Chester, Deeside, Ellesmere port and rural Cheshire.
