ONE OF the UK’s leading housing developers is hoping to raise vital funds for Northwich-based The Joshua Tree after selecting it as the company’s chosen charity for the year.

The campaign will kick off the fundraising campaign with a glittering gala ball at the Reebok Stadium.

Persimmon Homes North West will hold fundraising activities throughout the year to help support the Cheshire charity’s work with the families of children suffering from conditions that seriously affect their immune system, such as childhood cancers.

David Hodgson, sales director for Persimmon Homes North West, said: “The Joshua Tree was one of the deserving causes nominated last year in Persimmon’s 40th birthday competition, making it through to the public vote stage.

“Each year we choose a charity to benefit from our corporate fundraising so this year all our efforts will be focused on The Joshua Tree.

“Our main activity will be a gala charity ball, to be held at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium on Friday, July 19. The event will include a four-course meal, fundraising auction and raffle and all proceeds will go towards the Joshua Tree’s campaign to build a holiday house and support centre in Sandiway, Cheshire.”
