Frodsham MP Graham Evans experienced a first class day as a postman

AN MP picked up his sack and helped deliver dozens of parcels and letters as he became a postman for the day.

MP for Weaver Vale Graham Evans got a first class taste of the door-to-door job as he joined postman Andrew Holding on his round in Frodsham.

Graham was the first of a number of MPs invited to accompany postmen and women across the North West of England to see the lengths Royal Mail to goes to deliver your post.

Mr Evans said he was glad he could keep up on the round.

He said: “Postmen and women perform an incredibly important function in our communities, not just delivering communication, but being one of the institutions in society that binds us together.”
