CHESHIRE Fire and Rescue Service could have the solution for young people aged 16-19 who are unsure of what to do next.
It is running a Prince's Trust course at its HQ in Winsford designed to build confidence, motivation, skills and qualifications starting on Monday, June 13.
It is now looking to recruit a mix of 14 young people with particular emphasis on individuals not in education, employment or training.
During the 12-week course, team members will participate in team building activities, work in the local community, take part in a residential week and gain positive life skills and recognised qualifications - all absolutely free of charge.
Qualifications include City & Guilds Certificate in Personal Development and Contributing to the Community, First Aid and Food Safety.
Nick Evans, who is responsible for youth engagement, said: “ The programme aims to help young people into full time employment and job-related training.”
