Year 5 children at Farndon Primary School have created their own ‘mannequin challenge’ video to highlight anti-bullying week.
The children spent a long time thinking about the impact that unkind words and behaviour can have on people.
After a lot of discussion, they compiled a list of emotions associated with such behaviour and how it could make someone feel.
They decided to produce the mannequin challenge video to portray all of the emotions that they talked about.
Using whiteboard pens, they wrote the words on various parts of their body as a visible ‘scar’ - demonstrating that unkind words and behaviour do indeed leave a lasting mark.
The end of the video promotes ‘Making a Stand’ against bullying - a clever play on words by the children to the ‘mannequin’ aspect of the project.
