A FAMILY fun day is being organised to celebrate summer and Cheshire’s Year of Gardens.
The event, taking place in Guilden Sutton on Sunday, July 20, is the brainchild of Guilden Sutton resident and parish councillor Michelle Kerfoot.
The Guilden Sutton Village Gardens Open Day will offer people the chance to walk the Green Belt village and see its beautiful gardens.
Tickets, programmes and maps of the gardens will be on sale at Guilden Sutton Village Hall at the opening of the three-hour event at 1pm.
The hall itself will be bursting with activities for all the family including plant sales, cream teas, face painting and a quiz.
People will be able to pot their own plant and there will be pony rides and a barbecue.
Judging of the open gardens will take place during the afternoon and the winners will be announced at the village hall.
Prizes are on offer for the best large garden, best small garden and best original feature. Residents who would like to enter their gardens or help out on the day should contact Michelle on 01244 300644. Entries cost £2.
All profits from the day will go to children’s organisations in Guilden Sutton.
