A FIRE alarm forced the evacuation of Chester Crown Court earlier today (Tuesday, April 27).
Three appliances and the hydraulic platform were sent by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as a precautionary measure at around 11.45pm. They had left the site within 20 minutes after confirming there was no blaze.
Staff, defendants, barristers and judges were forced to wait outside until the building was declared safe.
