EDDISBURY'S UKIP candidate Charles Dodman says "my votes have been squeezed by scare stories."
Mr Dodman said he had a fantastic campaign and he has had a really positive response from the public.
He said: "This last month has been fantastic, I have met so many people. I have made some mistakes but on the whole I am very pleased."
Mr Dodman who has been watching the votes being verified said: "There are a lot of Conservatives votes there. The thing is people have been scared. They want to vote UKIP, but have been scared by the idea of the Tories getting in so have voted Labour."
Mr Dodman said he was shocked to learn of former UKIP leader Nigel Farage's planes crash and said: "I an glad he is OK. He is a brilliant man, I was out campaigning with him a few weeks ago. he is no career politician he is in it for all the right reasons."
