ARTY kids are still in with a chance to win tickets to the Chester Lions Club’s annual firework extravaganza at Chester Racecourse on Saturday, November 3.

Children, aged up to 16, are invited to submit a creative poster design, on paper no larger than A4 size. The design must incorporate the following elements: the colours red, white and blue, the Lions Club logo (see above), fireworks and The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

There are three competition categories: up to seven years; eight-12 and 12-16 and the winner in each category will receive 10 complimentary tickets to the event, plus £10 gift cards and two Vue Cinema tickets from sponsors M&S Money. The team at The Chronicle will judge the entries in the eight-12 category.

The closing date for entries is Thursday, October 18.

Send your entry with your name, address and telephone number on the back, along with their category number, to Liz Lewis, Chester Lions Fireworks Poster Competition, Chester Racecourse, Watergate Square, Chester CH1 2LY.

Winners’ names will appear in The Chronicle on Thursday, November 1.
