A WAITER who started work at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa at the age of 16 has been promoted to events manager.
Craig McIntosh, 25, first joined the five-star hotel in 2001 and has spent the last nine years working his way up through the ranks.
The former Upton High School student said: “I’m really pleased. I’ve been at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa all my working life, so it’s nice to have that hard work rewarded with a promotion.”
Craig will be in charge of the planning and smooth running of events from meetings in the executive boardroom to private dinners in the Westminster Suite.
Events director, Paul Cookson, said: “This is a well earned promotion for Craig and we wish him every continued success here at The Chester Grosvenor and Spa.”
