ADULTS of all ages who feel they could benefit from development courses are invited to apply for places on free two-day residential courses at Burton Manor, near Neston.
One course is aimed at individuals who may not have had the opportunity for skills development previously.
Developing Personal Skills covers communications, listening skills, speaking confidently, acting assertively, working in a group and skills for meetings. It runs Monday and Tuesday, May 21 and 22.
A second course is entitled Working with Others and provides development for those with some existing experience in voluntary community support roles.
Broad areas to be addressed will be mentoring skills, overcoming barriers to communication, conflict resolution and team leading. This course also runs on May 21 and 22.
A third course, Active Confidence, focuses on providing strategies for participants to help others and themselves to become more confident through recognising the principles of life-balance, well-being and positive thinking.
Themes include developing self-esteem, building confidence, healthy living and ordering your life. It runs on Monday and Tuesday, June 25 and 26.
