A TEENAGE murder suspect appeared in court just an hour after the funeral of the man she and her boyfriend are accused of killing took place.
Nineteen-year-old Rachael Horton, of Hawthorn Road, Little Sutton, and Scott Davidson, 22, of Hawthorne Road, Frodsham, spoke only to confirm their names at a preliminary hearing held at Chester Crown Court on Monday afternoon.
The pair are accused of murdering 49-year-old former bouncer Martin Ithell, whose body was found in a car outside Blacon Police Station at about 1am on Saturday, March 12.
It’s believed Mr Ithell was shot and stabbed at Davidson’s house in Frodsham on Friday evening before his body was driven to the station.
Horton, a former Sutton High School pupil, was arrested at Davidson’s address at about 7.50pm on Friday, March 11, and police detained Davidson at Blacon Police Station at 1am on Saturday.
A provisional trial date of October 10 was set for Horton and Davidson, with an estimated duration of three weeks. Both were remanded in custody.
