A CONSERVATORY has received planning permission at the rear of a Green Belt property.
The application was put forward by M S Curtis at 2 Woodbank, Saughall.
The semi, on Parkgate Road, is surrounded by open countryside other than adjacent properties, according to a report.
No objections were raised by parish councillors but the original application, which has been reduced in size, led to representations from a neighbour who did not object but put forward a number of issues.
Planning officers at Cheshire West and Chester Council suggested the conservatory would not be out of proportion to the property or detrimental to the openness of that part of the city’s Green Belt.
As it would be at the rear of the house, it would not be prominent and planning officers did not believe there would be any unacceptable loss of privacy, outlook or light for neighbours.
The application was recommended for permission. Cheshire West and Chester Council agreed the conservatory could be approved.
