GOOD sports are counting down the days to a charity walk.
Chronicle reporters Eleanor Barlow, Mark Dowling and multimedia editor Claire Devine are stepping out in Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbonwalk sponsored by Santander in association with Woman&Home at Cholmondeley Castle on Saturday, June 4.
The team has been training hard for the event and Eleanor and Claire are to walk the 20-mile route and Mark the 10-mile distance.
Claire said: “We are really looking forward to taking part in Breast Cancer Care’s Pink Ribbonwalk in Cheshire.
“We have been training for weeks and hope to raise money for a worthy cause while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Cholmondeley Castle.”
Breast Cancer Care director of services Diana Jupp said: “We are delighted the Chronicle team is taking part in the Pink Ribbonwalk at Cholmondeley Castle. Breast Cancer Care wants to help more people in the region who are dealing with a breast cancer diagnosis, but to do that we need your support. There is still time to register for the 10 and 20 mile walks – it’s a fantastic event and a truly enjoyable day out, so please join in and see you there!”
You can register online at www.pinkribbonwalk.org.uk until 5pm tomorrow, Friday, May 27, or on the day itself using the code Chronicle1 to save £5 off the registration fee.
