A VILLAGE group is celebrating 50 years of fundraising.
The Christleton Wednesday community group has been raising money for children’s charities for half a century.
Over that time the group has raised more than £85,000.
A £3,300 presentation to Claire House Children’s hospice took place at a celebratory spring lunch at Christleton Parish Hall.
The money was raised through several events including Christmas and spring lunches, cake sales at a charity Christmas card morning, Christleton fete, a number of summer events and quiz evenings.
Laura Breen from Claire House hospice presented a certificate thanking the group for raising so much money for the charity.
