HOUSING workers enjoyed a festive singsong as residents performed a carol concert as part of a Healthy, Wealthy and Wise programme.
Pensioners from Grosvenor Court and Underwood Court in Crewe joined forces to form a choir and put on their first concert at the Wulvern Housing HQ in Electra Way.
It is hoped that the choir will grow in size in the new year and give elderly people the opportunity to form friendships and keep active.
Supported housing and services manager Carol Stynes said: 'A group from Underwood Court had already got together and had been practising so we thought it would be a nice idea if they had a goal to work towards.
'The concert was fantastic and we hope it can really be the start of something in the new year. Singing is actually really good for you and helps your breathing.'
The choir has been formed with the help of Wulvern's Healthy Wealthy and Wise programme co-ordinator, Victoria Clarke.
She said: 'This is the choir's first performance but we hope it's the start of great things to come.
'It's a wonderful way to keep active and socialise and the same time and we would encourage other customers who would like to get involved to get in touch.'
