A CHILD has been rushed to hospital after falling off a horse in Helsby.

The child, believed to be under 13, is said to be a Traveller.

The North West Ambulance Service were called at 10.45am to the incident on Chester Road, in front of the Tesco store.

Witnesses saw the horse lying on its side in the road as the child was attended to.

Tracey Leung, North West Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The patient has been taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital.”
