CHESTER teenager Jade Marrey has won a coveted place in the grand final of Miss Princess UK.
This is a national beauty pageant for teenagers to be held in London in late August and is operated by Teen Queen UK.
Jade – who lives in Handbridge but attends a private dance school in Dublin – was selected from thousands of girls to go for a photo shoot at Fairlight Studios in London in early March and her photo was chosen for public votes in April.
Following a national vote, Jade beat 9,000 entrants from all over the UK and is now representing the region in the ‘Miss Princess UK’ category.
Jade said: “This has been the best experience of my life.
“As well as preparing for the final, I’m also kicking off a campaign to raise money for one of Miss Teen UK’s sponsors – The MAD Foundation (Mottey African Development) who help some of the poorest people in Africa.
“I’m hoping all this exposure not only helps me win but, most importantly, helps me showcase the charity and raise money for some of the world’s most disadvantaged people.”
