A CLUBBER from Helsby was left needing stitches for three cuts to his face after being glassed in Cruise nightclub in Chester.
The 25-year-old victim was assaulted at the St John Street club in the city centre at about 11.30pm on Saturday, May 22.
A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “He was in the nightclub when he has been assaulted in the foyer of the stairwell on the top floor, when he was struck in the face with a glass.
“As a result of this he suffered three lacerations to his face which required stitches at hospital.
“Police enquiries have resulted in two women, aged 47 and 30 years, from the Chester area being arrested on suspicion of assault. Both women have been bailed until July 7 pending further enquiries.”
