IT’S top marks across the board for GCSE Expressive Arts students of Chester Music Theatre (CMT), the city’s only full-time stage school.
Record results in this year’s round of exams add to the plaudits already received from examiners and local audiences for this year’s students.
Rachel Cox, Juliet Heaton, Jemima Birch and Catherine Lau all achieved A*s.
Since first starting this course at Chester Music Theatre, students have achieved an overall score of 92% A* and 8% A grades.
Head of education Catherine Harrison said: “These results are a testament to the talent and efforts of our students.
“I am extremely proud of their achievements.”
Christina Lee achieved full marks, a very rare occurrence in performing arts subjects.
“I’m really pleased,” said Christina, who is hoping to go on to study medicine next year. “This course offered me something quite different from school. It was enjoyable as well.”
