A Chester man banned from all One Stop Shops walked into the shop in Connah’s Quay High Street to buy a drink.
Nathan Carron later told police that he thought it was a Polish shop.
Carron, 34, of Brook Street in Chester, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by entering the premises.
On his arrest he was found to have Hugo Boss shorts in his bag which still had the price tag on.
Carron was jailed for 24 weeks at a weekend sitting of Flintshire magistrates’ court at Mold on Saturday, August 13, after he also admitted handling stolen goods and being in breach of two suspended prison sentences.
Magistrates described him a prolific offender.
Victoria Handley, defending, said that it was a sad case of a man who had been on drugs longer than he had not been.
He witnessed the death of a friend at the age of 16 and things ‘spiralled out of control.’
Miss Handley stressed that her client had simply entered the One Stop Shop by mistake and left immediately he was asked to do so.
