IF YOU are one of Cheshire’s premier butchers or one of our great sausage makers then you should be entering the 2013 Chester Food Drink & Lifestyle Festival Sausage competition for 2013.
Each year the festival sets out to find the county’s finest sausage maker and the competition is already hotting up.
So start planning now to be judged one of Cheshire’s finest sausage makers.
To enter, just email Helen@scwirrel.com or call 01244 405615 and you will be sent an entry form. Then provide six sausages of your choice.
The sausages must be delivered to the Cheese Shop in Northgate Street on Wednesday, February 27 by 1pm.
They will then be cooked and served to a panel of judges at 3.30pm in a behind closed doors event at the Joseph Benjamin restaurant.
There are three categories that will be judged this year and they are:
Best Traditional Pork Sausage
Best Non Pork Sausage
Best Flavoured Sausage.
The winners and runners-up in each category will be presented on the stage at the Chester Food and Drink Festival on Sunday, March 31 at 10.30am where those present will get a chance to judge the people’s favourite.
