The visit supported the Year 1 English curriculum as the children had to think of and write questions ready to ask the firefighters.
The children asked all sorts of interesting questions such as “what do you do if there is a fire in a fire station?” and “do you drive around in your fire engine all day?” and “do you have food in the fire station?”
Headteacher Lucy Davies said: “The children were delighted to meet the Cheshire Fire Service and showed a keen interest in their role in society.
“We really appreciate Stephen Scott organising the visit and demonstrating all the equipment that fire fighters have to wear when putting out fires and the children were delighted to have a tour around the fire engine.
“We are proud that our pupils are very aware of the importance of the emergency services and understand the importance of health and safety.”
