TWO Cheshire youngsters have invented their own brand new ice cream flavours.

Hundreds of mouth watering flavours were suggested for Tattenhall Cheshire Ice Cream Farm’s ‘Do Yourself a Flavour’ competition, but the lucky winners, Kizzy McDonald and Max Ashbrook, won judges’ hearts with their innovative flavours of choice.

Max, eight, from Northwich, mixed blueberry ice cream with ginger swirls and popping candy for his firework-inspired ‘Cosmic Blast’ flavour, while eight-year-old Kizzy, from Market Drayton, concocted ‘Jungle Jumble’ as her winning flavour – a combination of fruity orange, mango, pineapple and banana ice cream churned together with swirls of tangy orange sauce.

Both were invited to visit the ice cream farm in Tattenhall to see their flavours made into real ice cream last week, and meet with the farm’s director, Jonathan Fell, for the historic occasion.

And though Kizzy was unable to attend, Max had great fun learning how staff at the family-run farm were able to churn ice cream into cones.
