Duddon St Peter's Primary School
Children at Duddon St Peter’s Primary School have been raising funds for a charity which aims to improve the life chances of children in the rural Kambe area of Kenya.
Class 3 at the school has raised almost £400 for the Under the Mango Tree small charity by organising a raffle and other competitions.
The youngsters contacted local businesses and the community who donated raffle prizes, made posters and delivered whole school assemblies to increase the number of raffle tickets sold.
The grand prize was two luxury hampers full of donated goodies.
The charity has ambitions to share life stories and build greater understanding of different cultures.
Eccleston Primary School
Children at Eccleston Primary School are no fools when it comes to raising cash for charity.
The youngsters held a skipathon on April 1 to raise funds for Sport Relief and the school fund.
To ensure that someone was skipping throughout the morning, the event lasted from 9am until noon.
Representatives from the fire brigade, school governors, parents, staff and their children took turns to keep the ropes spinning before enjoynig a picnic lunch.
Tarporley CE Primary School
To support Sport Relief 2016, the team at Tarporley CE Primary School set a target for the school to complete at least 500 miles of activities. The youngsters walked, ran and swam over 1,000 miles and raised almost £1,240.
