CHESTER residents have organised a charity fun night in aid of Help the Heroes.
Dave Hill and DJ Cockney Chris are holding the extravaganza at The Egerton Arms on October 29, which will consist of a children’s fancy dress party during the day and a rock night for the adults in the evening.
The party for under-16s will kick off at 2pm and will feature a disco, face-painting and a dance competition.
Afterwards, starting from 4.30pm, there will be a live band with a raffle and an auction, offering prizes donated by various Cheshire businesses.
Guest DJs will provide the music when the Fun Night starts at 7.30pm, with themes of Northern soul, Motown, 60s, 70s and 80s.
All proceeds will go toward Help for Heroes. The event is a joint effort between Dave and Chris, who arranged the same event last year, raising more than £800.
Dave said: “We are hoping to raise more money this year, we’ve got the children’s party and the rock band so we’re hoping for a really good turnout. Response has been very positive so far.”
