CHESTER city centre and Newtown will be the first areas to benefit from new police surgery schemes.
They are designed to provide a platform for residents and others in the area to raise any concerns they may have in relation to crime and policing in general.
PCSO Melissa Sawojka is championing the surgery in the city centre and hopes for a good turnout at the first event at Chester Library on March 3 from 11am-2pm.
She said: “The library provides a neutral, informal base where people can feel more at ease to talk to us, in confidence, about any issue which is causing them concern.
“Everyone is welcome to attend, even if it is just for a brief one-to-one chat to get to know their local officers.”
For those who cannot wait until March, Newtown PCSO Matthew Middleton will be hosting a surgery and is also hoping for a good turnout at Rowland Heights Community Room, Francis Street, on Friday, February 19, from 2-3pm.
