WINSFORD publicity guru Carl Nagaitis, pictured, has received the ultimate accolade in return for the raft of publicity he achieved for his client The Finishing Academy - a seat on the board.
In 12 months he has secured publicity hits in every UK national newspaper, secured international scoops in the New York Times and the Moscow edition of Marie Claire as well as countless TV and radio hits worldwide.
He has negotiated coverage by Time magazine, CNN, Russian and Japanese TV, the South African Broadcasting Corporation, New Zealand radio stations, broadsheets in Bombay and even Arab network Al Jazeera.
Now Finishing Academy founders Diana Mather, an ex-BBC TV presenter from Northwich, and businesswoman Penny Edge are to star in a TV documentary as well as doing a guest appearance on children's TV show Blue Peter in the next few weeks.
'The reason we've had such high profile and regular coverage over the last year is that the Finishing Academy is a great story,' said Carl, who runs the Bryher Business Partnership.
'When Diana and Penny first asked me to organise some publicity for them I knew the return of the finishing school to the 21st Century would appeal to the media. The idea of turning ladettes into ladies even made a TV series.
'But when the Finishing Academy decided to launch programmes for men I was taking calls from around the globe. Everybody wanted a piece of the action.'
Carl, who said he was stunned when he was offered a directorship in the company, added: 'It was very decent of them to share their success with me.'
