STAFF at a South Cheshire florist are blooming after it was selected to produce the flower arrangements for a royal visit and a national TV programme.
The Flower Shop, Congleton Road, Sandbach, was chosen to provide flower arrangements for the filming of Extreme Makeover, a reality TV programme on satellite channel Living TV, which has just been filmed at Crewe Hall.
The shop was also commissioned to make a posy and table arrangements for the visit of the HRH the Countess of Wessex when she went to the St John Ambulance headquarters in Winsford.
The Flower Shop owner Sue Finney explained that staff created two pedestals of flowers for Extreme Makeover which were used in shot when the woman featured was revealed after her makeover.
She said: 'It was such a privilege to be asked to do the flowers for both events. It was extremely special doing the Countess' visit as she was photographed with the flowers a lot.
'That was the first time we have done a royal visit but hopefully not the last.' Mrs Finney also owns another shop in Ruskin Road, Crewe, and has recently taken on a fleet of new vans to cope with the demand in business.
She added: 'It is quite a breakthrough for a small business but we are busy. We were contacted for both occasions so it means our reputation is very good.
'We are thrilled. It's not every day you get to see your products on TV.'
