A SCHOOL found a novel way to make sure their pupils are alert enough to tackle exams – and make sure they’re in on time.
The Arches Community Primary School, Saughall Road, Blacon, served up breakfasts during the Year 6’s SATs exams.
The children tucked into toast and cereal every day and on Friday received the special treat of a full English breakfast.
Teaching assistant Kerry Bowie said: “There will be bacon, eggs and sausages. A lot of schools don’t do anything.
“It is to improve learning and to get them in and get them started.
“There’s a lot of pressure on them and they are only 10- 11-year-olds.”
