A BLIND, elderly man has died after he was knocked down while walking across the road with his guide dog in Frodsham.
The 74-year-old pedestrian was crossing Marsh Lane when he collided with a blue Renault Megane – driven by a 51-year-old Runcorn man travelling in the direction of Main Street – at 4.42pm on Monday.
The man, who is from Frodsham, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital for emergency treatment. He was transferred to Walton Hospital but died of his injuries on Tuesday night.
The driver of the vehicle suffered no injuries.
